It is unusual and difficult to find one single solution to arthritis joint pain, unless you opt for heavy doses of anti-inflammatory drugs over a prolonged period. This is not a wise decision.

Even the manufacturers advise against this. The advisory insert in most packets of Ibuprofen painkillers, says something like "The tablets are intended for short term use only. The lowest effective dose should be used for the shortest time necessary to relieve your
symptoms.... You should not take Ibuprofen 200mg tablets for longer than 10 days, unless your doctor tells you to".

It is far safer to find a combination of the many simple, easy remedies that are available that suits you and gives lasting relief from this damned pain. People are different, in their physical make-up and in their medical condition and no single solution will suit everyone.

Currently about one in six persons suffers from some form of this disease and thus they are interested in finding out some effective remedies for arthritis. The signs and symptoms of Arthritis are easily recognized, being stiffness of the joints, in some cases swelling and pain and heat around the affected area.

Zinc, which is present in peas, is an important mineral for the immune system. Milk, oysters and whole wheat products also provide zinc in valuable quantities.

If you are overweight it is especially tough for all your joints, specially your hips. knees and ankles, which bear the most weight. The extra pounds can cause pain and inflammation in your joints and bones.

Some foods are linked to arthritis, particularly eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, potatoes and tobacco. If your arthritis pain changes significantly, for better or worse, it may indicate you are allergic to these foods.

Vegetable oil that contains omega-6 fatty acids, which aggravate the arthritis symptoms, should be avoided. To avoid this, do not consume margarine, salad dressings, olive oil or fried foods.

Exercise and massage on the particular areas are one of the most efficient remedies for arthritis. Applying heat, either with a special pad or in a hot bath, will stimulate the circulation and relieve the joint pain

Aromatherapy uses essential oils as lotions and they are also one of the remedies for arthritis. They penetrate the skin and heal you. The juniper oil relieves the swelling and the sandalwood improves circulation.
